Presenter Profiles
Rob Wilson began his career with GE, in
marketing, merchandising and sales. He
later was president of the Hathaway Shirt Company in Canada, then head of the
strategy practice at Arthur D. Little. Prior
to retiring, he launched his own management consulting firm in Boston,
specializing in Strategic Planning for major corporations.
Bob Lantis spent his career at International
Harvester Credit Corporation (later Navistar Financial). There, he had various
assignments, including extension and collection of credit and marketing of the
various financial products.
Wayne Nelson spent 30 years at Burroughs
Corporation, in Detroit, Michigan. His
responsibilities included development of Application Products for marketing to
target industries and corporate executive marketing programs worldwide. For the last 5 years, he was responsible for
strategic planning, reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board.
Jim Langley spent 35 years with Exxon, Union
Texas Petroleum and Sunshine Mining Company in senior management positions,
with responsibilities for operations management, budgeting, contract
negotiations, and overall profitability of producing and exploration functions.
Mike Mendez has 35 years experience as a manager
and executive in the fields of human resource management, leadership
development, and community and labor relations.
He specializes in strategies to develop employee teams that help
businesses succeed.
Tavo Holloway began her career at a progressive
training company. Through combined
experience with organizations, she acquired the skills to build and operate
successful small businesses. She is
currently a business consultant specializing in strategic planning, marketing
and operations.
Alan Ross built a small business into a
full-service food service distribution company with annual sales of $18 million
(supported by a $1.25 million inventory) and 60 employees. He specializes in conducting seminars on
employee recruiting/retention and leadership skills.
Rick Tyner was the former President & Chief
Investment Officer of McDermott International Investments, responsible for the
management of over $4 billion of their worldwide pension funds, 401 K’s and
corporate assets.
Margaret Mooney has 32 years experience in marketing
and advertising with Proctor & Gamble, as well as two multinational ad
agencies: Leo Burnett (Chicago) and
Ogilvy & Mather (NYC). She managed
such accounts as Nestle, P & G, R.C. Cola, 7-Up and NutraSweet.
Jim Berry has held various positions throughout
his business career, in sales, marketing, and executive management (both
domestically and internationally) with some of high technology software’s most
successful companies.
Karl Schreiner spent 20 years with Sears in various
positions of retail management, moving through the ranks to Western Territory
Merchandise Manager. He subsequently
spent several years with Marshall’s Dept. Stores and Circuit City, in positions
of retail store management, human resources & merchandise management.
Harriet Schreiner has over 40 years experience in the
retail business, serving as Group Merchandise Manager with Sears, VP of
Merchandise with Barry’s Jewelers and Executive VP of Merchandise with Sterling
Jewelers. She is widely experienced in
assortment planning, buying, merchandise distribution, sales management &
store merchandising.
Russ Mooney has had 39 years in International
trade, starting in banking and moving to general management, with emphasis on
establishing new businesses in all parts of the world. He lived abroad for most
of this time, on assignment from Chase Bank, PepsiCo, and Associated Metals and
Minerals Corporation.
Alan Sanborn spent 20 years in the lending and
risk management areas with Bank of America, attaining Vice Chairman, and
subsequently held the same position at Shawmut National Corp., and 6 years as
CEO of the Risk Management Association.
He also lectures on Personal Finance and investing at Renesan (in Santa
Fe).
Peter Doniger retired to Santa Fe in 1997, after
successfully running 5 different small businesses in the Rochester, NY
area - the most recent being Apple
Computer's Sales Agency to the K-12 Schools in the state of NY. An
MBA graduate of University of Rochester in Operations Management, Doniger
has used technology throughout his career to create efficient and
profitable businesses.
